GENERAL INFORMATION

Vision :

To provide fair, effective and efficient and effective Ministry services through youth and sports development activities and programmes.

Objective :

To provide quality public administration services & management with professionalism, knowledge and motivation, towards a global change for organisation administration.

Functions and Responsibilities

This Division is responsible for the public administration affairs; corporate communications and media; organisational quality management and the resource centre. The Division’s functions are as follows :-

  1. To provide support services for the implementations of the Ministry’s programmes and activities in the form of office space and equipments facilities, communications and logistics management, as well as event management services at headquarters, state and district levels.

  2. To counsel and manage the filing system, correspondences, Services Circular and organisational security.

  3. To administer the Ministry’s storage management, inventories, disposal and assets write-off at headquarters, state and district levels.

  4. To manage media services in terms of information, publications and documentations, public relations affairs, complaints and customer service.

  5. To manage the Resource Centre for reference facilities through development of cataloguing system and library collection index.

  6. To manage procurements related to support services in achieving the Ministry’s objectives and functions.

  7. As the Secretariat for Committee related to mostly quality and human capital development programme execution, and Ministry’s public administration development.
  8. As a Committee to manage Child Care Centre at the Ministry.

Units

Administration Unit

Functions and Responsibilities :

  1. To plan and manage the rental of office space and facilities for the Ministry, at state and district levels.

  2. To manage the filing system, correspondences, Service Circular and monitoring of office security.

  3. To manage and monitor building cleanliness and maintenance.

  4. To plan and manage events programs and activities by the Ministry.

  5. To administer the management of e-assets, storages, inventories, disposals, write-offs and surcharge actions.

  6. To manage the procurement of office supplies and event management.

  7. As a Secretariat to the Asset Committee at Ministry level.

  8. To manage the logistics and communications affairs at Headquarter level.
  9. To plan and manage Child Care Centre facilities at the Ministry.

Quality Unit

Functions and Responsibilities :

  1. To plan and manage Quality Programmes at Ministry, state and district levels, such as MS ISO 9000, KMK, KPI Programmes and other activities as directed via the Pekeliling Kemajuan Pentadbiran Awam (PKPA) from time to time.

  2. As the Secretariat for the Quality Committee at Ministry level.

     

  3. Secretariat to Modernisation of Administration, Management Quality Upgrades and communications between the relevant agencies.

  4. To plan and manage the Ministry’s innovation programmes.

Library, Knowledge and Resource Management Unit
Functions and Responsibilities :
  1. To plan and manage the Ministry’s collection based on the International Standard’s guideline.

  2. To manage and provide references for cataloguing and classification system.

  3. To monitor and manage the index of the materials.

  4. To manage procurement of references and knowledge materials for the Ministry.
