    ASEAN Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) In Sports Conference 2025

    Sempena Kepengerusian ASEAN Malaysia Tahun 2025, KBS menganjurkan ASEAN Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) In Sports Conference 2025 pada 20 hingga 21 Jun 2025 bertempat di Putrajaya yang dirasmikan oleh YB Hannah Yeoh, Menteri Belia dan Sukan.

    Persidangan ini yang turut disokong oleh Majlis Paralimpik Malaysia (MPM) merupakan salah satu inisiatif utama KBS di bawah pelaksanaan ASEAN Work Plan on Sports 2021–2025.

    Persidangan yang bertemakan “Inclusive Sports for All: Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges in ASEAN” ini merupakan manifestasi komitmen Malaysia dalam mendepani cabaran sosial serantau dengan menjunjung nilai keterangkuman dan kesaksamaan, seiring dengan aspirasi Kerangka Malaysia MADANI yang menekankan enam teras utama: Kemampanan, Kesejahteraan, Daya cipta, Hormat, Keyakinan dan
    Ihsan.

    Matlamat utama persidangan ini adalah untuk menghakupayakan komuniti OKU melalui pembangunan sukan untuk semua, sekaligus merealisasikan gaya hidup aktif dan sihat dalam kalangan masyarakat serantau.

     

    ASEAN Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in Sports Conference 2025

    In conjunction with Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2025, the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) organised the ASEAN Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in Sports Conference 2025 from 20–21 June 2025 in Putrajaya. The conference was officiated by YB Hannah Yeoh, Minister of Youth and Sports.

    Supported by the Malaysian Paralympic Council (MPM), this conference was one of KBS’s key initiatives under the implementation of the ASEAN Work Plan on Sports 2021–2025.

    With the theme “Inclusive Sports for All: Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges in ASEAN,” the conference reflected Malaysia’s commitment to addressing regional social challenges by upholding inclusivity and equality—values aligned with the Malaysia MADANI framework, which emphasises six core pillars: Sustainability, Well-being, Creativity, Respect, Trust, and Compassion.

    The main goal of the conference was to empower the PWD community through the development of sports for all, thereby realising an active and healthy lifestyle among the people of the region.
